Isochondrodendrine ( Isochondrodendrin) is a class of bisbenzylisoquinoline alkaloid isolated fromIsolona ghesquiereina. Isochondodendrine has strong antiplasmodial activity againstPlasmodiumfalciparum^[1].

Plasmodium falciparum^[1]

Isochondrodendrine has strong in vitro antiplasmodial activity against the chloroquine resistant strain FMC29 ofPlasmodium falciparum. Toxicity observed is 50 to 100 fold greater towards Plasmodium falciparum than cultured L6 cells^[1].
