性质描述:

该品为无色片状结晶体。熔点为51-52℃，沸点为134-136℃（1.2kPa）。溶于乙醇、乙醚、氯仿，微溶于水。

生产方法:

由水杨酸甲酯与乙酐经乙酰化反应而得。将2kg水杨酸甲酯、2kg乙酐及15ml浓硫酸混合均匀后，在40℃温度下放置40min。在搅拌下将此反应混合物慢慢倒入含晶种的15L冷水中，静置6h，滤出晶体。用水充分洗涤、干燥即得2.4kg乙酰水杨酸甲酯，熔点47-49℃，收率为95%。

用途:

用作香料的定香剂。
